Downton Abbey Filming Locations

For any Downton fans – welcome to the Downton triangle! Between Witney, Burford and especially Bampton (a.k.a Downton itself) you have all the most important exterior locations to explore. The house itself was Highclere near Newbury, but the farm and many of the outside scenes were filmed here. There is a handy guide that you can download here:
Downton-Location-Guide

Don’t forget to visit the fictional Dog and Duck Pub or the old Grammar School that played the Cottage Hospital.
